File overview |
8 |
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
9 |
|
10 |
winpt.pot: this is the file when you want to start a new translation |
11 |
which is not available for WinPT. It contains all strings |
12 |
you need to translate. You can also use this file when you |
13 |
want to start an existing translation from scratch again |
14 |
because it has too many mistakes or due to another reason. |
15 |
|
16 |
*-diff.po: these files contain the existing translations for the given |
17 |
language and all new, untranslated, strings. If you want to |
18 |
continue or update a translation, use these files. |
Hints |
23 |
~~~~~ |
24 |
|
25 |
After you finished the translation, please check that you did not forget |
26 |
to quote all translations with '"' and that all c-format entries really |
27 |
contain all the %-sequences from the original English string. This is *very* |
28 |
important. Then please check that you filled in all .po specific headers |
29 |
inside the file (Encoding, Author, Version, Team, ...) |
30 |
|
31 |
And last but not least, before you mail the file back!, rename the file |
32 |
so it looks like this: |
33 |
LANGUAGE.po |
34 |
|
35 |
Replace language with the international two letter code for your language. |
36 |
For example German has de, Austria de_AT and Spain has es. |
37 |
So the result would be "de.po", "de_AT.po" or "es.po". |
